Archive: 20th century advertisements
This archive represents 20th century advertisements for Lefranc Bourgeois paint. With its expertise, the brand was already keen to attract the eye with creative and aesthetic advertising posters, at the cutting edge of the fashion of the time.
The purpose of these signs was to advertise on the cover of a catalogue and were intended for artists or depositors.
We can see some very beautiful creations such as these charcoal and tempera advertisements on paper representing artists busy practising their art, like these two young women using pastels, or in a reflective position like this young woman with a palette (no doubt looking for inspiration!).
One can read the advertising slogan of Lefranc Bourgeois at that time: "Fine colours for the Arts".
