Archive: the book " Opinions of a Man of Colour"

 

This 171-page book published in 1930 is a practical booklet on painting, written in homage to the work of Alexandre Lefranc.

Vernicolor was the family's pseudonym at the time, a nod to their work (as a manufacturer of colours and varnishes).

In this book, one finds advice and reflections on the use of products and colours: "how to fix a pastel?", "can the watercolourist command the liquid element?", exactly as one would see it in a tutorial today!
