A colourful fresco with Flashe
Sifat

Sifat's fresco at the Parmentier nursery school

The artist Sifat has created a fresco at the Parmentier nursery school in the heart of the playground. Children and school staff contributed to the fresco, using bright colours from Flashe Lefranc Bourgeois.

SIFAT, SHARING AND TRANSMISSION

Passionate about writing and its history, Sifat revisits calligraphy, alphabets, motifs, signs and ideograms, appropriating their forms to create her own language. She makes surfaces her own, creating tangles of lines that oscillate between letters, symbols and graphic inspirations from elsewhere. She places people and encounters at the heart of her work. Driven by the desire to share and transmit, she is regularly involved in community projects in schools and working-class neighborhoods.

A PARTICIPATORY FRESCO

Sifat created a fresco at the Parmentier nursery school in the 21st arrondissement of Paris, with the participation of pupils and school staff. The contours and colours of the fresco are inspired by the atmosphere of the playground. The children were involved in the creative process, adding their own touches of paint. This participative work demonstrates Flashe's matte finish and multi-support covering power.
